North Carolina Botanical Garden
The
North
Carolina Botanical Garden is one of the biggest
botanical parks for wild plants in the Southeast. It's also free to get in
here. It's a nice time to visit the display gardens with native plants, herbs,
native habitats, and the most diverse collection of carnivorous plants in the
southeastern United States. There's also a children's wonder garden, nature
trails, a juried art show of works by North Carolina artists, a nature art
indoor gallery, plant sales, and a gift shop. There are displays, a reference
library, a theater, and classes at this LEED Platinum sustainable, green
education center. After hours, the Garden's paved parking lot for visitors is
locked and closed. Nature walks, Coker Arboretum trails and Battle Park paths
are all open from dawn to dusk.
A man from Chapel Hill is charged after a chase.
After
a pursuit, a Chapel Hill male was charged with a drug-related case. According
to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, this man was detained last Friday when
cocaine and heroin were tossed out of a car. The Lee County Sheriff's Office
Narcotics Division attempted to halt a car on Friday while looking into a
narcotics infraction. Edwards was detained and accused of trafficking heroin by
transport and possession, possessing cocaine with the intent to sell and
deliver, destroying or altering criminal evidence, keeping a vehicle for the
transportation of a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia, and
possessing a controlled substance with the intent to sell and deliver within
one thousand feet of a school. This is such a devastating act, but I'm glad
that he was charged. Read
